Late 60's GE Double Oven for Sale

Check out this clean GE double oven with hood venting on ebay, it's nice and clean and the owner states that it works fine. Somebody should get this one as it is a classic.

fire hazard!

While in Hollywood Beach, I had this in pink.It worked well but my cat,Kenmore,jumped on it while I was at work picking up my paycheck. I came home to a burning house and lost everything in it.The firemarshal assumed it was deliberately set untill I looked it over,saw the button was depressed and relized that Kenmore probably saw either a mouse or bug and jumped up onto the cooktop,pressed down on the button and turned it on.I called GE to ask about this happening before and they told me that was why that type of control for the cooktop was imediately removed being replaced with dials due to many similar issues,some even more severe than mine.

Given that is an electric stove, generally speaking, there would have to be something flammable sitting on the elements to actually burn for a fire to happen.....
