Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a good Christmas wherever you are.

Three machines were delivered early this morning to my surprise (they weren't expected till early next week)

Two Thor Automagics and a 1971 TOL all pushbutton Simpson Fluid Drive.

One of the Thor's is destined for Brisnat81 if he wants it. One of them is in parts and the other is working although not greatly. I'm asking if any member has a repair manual on this model that i could get a copy of? It would help both Nathan and I to getting these machines back to 100% working capacity. Please let me know if you do...

Alas, the Thor's didn't come with the dishwashing basket.

Enjoy the pics: first up the Thor's.

Cheers
Leon

WOW

Two Thors--what a great score, Leon. Round here people would trade body parts for one of those ;-D And the push-button, time-line Simpson is pretty nice, too.

Leon....

..I was in Berry on Tuesday and saw the pushbutton Simpson...I've got a pic of it on my phone when it still had packing tape with writing on it on the lid....

Love that tub in the Simpson!

X2!

I'm assuming those 2 dispensers are for bleach and fabric softener? Are they time released?

Fab

Love the box of Fab in the background Leon, ahhh! Shanelle Franklin the original Fab lady on the box.
P.S. pretty cool machines too Leon.
Hope Christmas was good for you.
Cheers.
Steve.

I so wish I had I had a THOR to use to day, we had one when I was a kid but the food pedal model, its a very long time ago but I'm sure it had a heater as well? I'm sure one pedal was red, they are the best machine at washing towels as you can control the rinse, hot ward or cold for as long as you like deep rinse or spray or combo. Most load had one deep warm then 1 cold spray then 1 cold deep the only problem we had was the crap spin.
Today i washed a big load of towels in a 5 year old Miele and had to re-set it to a 2nd wash to get all the suds out. I'm not sure what went wrong but it suds locked not after the wash but after the 1st rinse.
I used Fairy snow powered and not the usual Persil as it was on a special at Cosco. The Miele usually good its set to water + & + extra rinse with a 1600 spin but it did not like Fairy Snow one bit. in all it took 12 rinses to clear it.

HI In the 2nd pic to the right there is a round tub machine can I ask what it is ??
by the way the THOR was replaced by an AEG twinny it must have been around 1964/6 wash day was never the same again. but still more fun than it is today there is no port hole door on my Miele just a nice clean SS flat door, Have very HAPPY new year to all.

What were you doing in Berry can i ask?

My parents have a holiday house at Burril Lake which about 90klm further south so when we're down for more than a few days we often head for a drive to Berry or further south to Moruya....

This year, we headed to Berry on the 28th for a browse....low and behold, there at the back of an antique furniture place was the washer...so I was asking the guy about it and he said it was going to a collector in Queensland, after which I replied 'ahh, Leon'...

...he nearly fell over that I knew who it was...
