Hey pdub in Portland, all I did to quiet those solenoids was spray the hell out of 'em with that electronic cleaner stuff and it did the trick. Appnut, here's a shot of the washer console, I'll work on the a close up of the speed control. Rp2813, the Norge and the Wards set always get an opportunity to be in the house but will now be happy with their GE, Maytag, Kenmore and Whirlpool friends in the soon-to-be completed washer house!

Yep, the only way to put in additives was the Kenmore way.  Bleach injected at the 4 minute timer mark.  Softner dispensed as the tub started filling for rinse.

KM & WPs TIMED DISPENSERS

Yes these were the best dispensers for bleach and softener ever used up to this time in an automatic washer. When the solenoid opens and the additive is released it is pulled into the recirculating water system heading to the self-cleaning filter and then through the water pump and then forced back into the bottom of the outer-tub. Needless to say the additives are very well mixed and dilouted  before they can ever get near the clothes load.
