Latest CL Appliance Scam

Not sure how widespread it may be but there are scammers out there listing appliances on CL that are from Europe but never sold in the USA. These are not listings from persons who have brought units over with them but often from "dealers". Some even have several listing up at a time.

None of them seem legit.

Many are flagged within hours by CL itself or others and taken down. One personally tried to obtain information about a Miele set that know well was never offered on these shores and heard nothing but crickets.

What these persons game is don't know. Assume they will ask for sending money first or something since obviously if you went in person to collect they would be found out.

Well we've got them here in Michigan... I thought it looked funny... Beko washers, Bush fridge, Samsung "American Style" fridge, among others.

sometimes they just want a reply so they can get your email address and put it into the auto mailers!

I think your right. At-least about the second listing. The "Febreze" bottle in the picture, is only manufactured in the UK.

Unless of course, we've got someone from Boston.. who decided to lug a old HotPoint & Febreze Bottle with them from the UK. And then decided to put it, into there Kitchen.

Not that it's unheard of, but that's typically just a European thing. We Americans typically have so much space, we use laundry rooms, or closets

Yeah.. I wonder what there end game is. I'm going to try messaging one, about picking it up, and see what the reply is.
