Launderall in Atlanta

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Wow, it's not often one sees a Launderall!

Hopefully someone here will snag this rare beauty.

The fridge is similar to the one in my kitchen.

I think mine is a 1950. They kept this door design for either a little while or a few models. Our fridge has a kick panel below the door. I have seen others, however, where the door goes all the way down.

It's a great fridge. Quiet, dependable, and it looks good too. Definitely worth getting.

When I was 8 or 9, I was in a home in East Atlanta that had a Launderall. I got the older children to show me how it opened, etc. Of course, my brother was with us and he was telling them not to show it so me. I was such an embarrassment and did not want my parents in the living room to hear any of this. This machine was probably originally installed in that home in Grant Park and has been there for 60 years or so

Looks like they are in a house that has been abandoned for a LONG time... Someone could probably save them all for a song!
Is the Launderall one of those commercial-style machines with a cylinder like one would see on a front-loader, but which was loaded from the top?? I am sure I have seen some European machines (possibly Philips) posted by one of the overseas collectors that were that style.

Did someone here get these? I had made arrangements with "the husband" yesterday, but "the wife" sold the entire lot earlier today. Hope it was someone here!
