Hey Dan I agree with malcolm you should do advertising for SQ.

When you say prime how long do you mean ?

I do that with my vintage machines.

Great video! Really well put together, I like the music too.

Some day I will get my hands on a SQ washer, they don't exist here in Nova Scotia.

PS, nice Oreck.

Fuller detergents - (especially the powder) remind me of original Amway SA8, Charlie's Soap, and Watkin's detergents. White, no residual smell, and seem to clean as well as the others and have that "boiled wash" feel when the clothes are finished (with no fabric softener used).

I like the liquid version as it makes a lot of bubbles--lol. I don't use it as my daily driver, but I do like to use them on occasion. The pre-treaters they sell seem to be effective and for unique situations (like gum).

Darren, to prime the pump, just dump in 1+ quarts of water into the washbasket and turn the machine on. That's all there is to it. The back of the installation manual has a checklist of things to do before turning the machine on - also make sure the shipping plug is out of the bottom and of course the top (hard to miss that one).

The typewriter...as far as I can research is a 1940 Underwood. Still works well with an occasionally sticking "Y". Thanks for the compliments...makes the time invested in doing the videos worth it.

Harry told me that prewar typewriters had black finishes but they all switched to gray postwar, so 1940 sounds about right.

Underwood's corporate headquarters were at the impressive address of One Park Avenue, NYC.

Hey Dan, yes... very VERY nice job on the video! I ESPECIALLY liked the the cinematography, especially the angles you shot, and of course the editing, timing, everything!

FANTASTIC JOB!!!!
