I'd like to apply a light spray starch to my collars to help them keep their form, but I've never used this type of product.

The only product I've causally seen is Niagara. Does anybody have any suggestions or comments?

This is the best "starch", while not the cheapest, I've ever used. I'm a sewer/quilter so can use quite a bit of starch preparing fabric yardage for sewing. I like it because it adds the right amount of finish, if you need more just spray and iron again. It imparts an interesting hand, a lot of body without the stiffness of starch. I've never had it flake, even on the right side of dark fabrics. It also doesn't build up on my irons like regular starch does. To prevent this with regular starch, I used Faultless, I would spray the garment or yardage and roll it into itself to let the starch absorb into the fabric, while ironing an already prepped piece, about 5 minutes or so. It also had the advantage of evening out the product, much like sprinkling when using a dry iron. I haven't needed to do it with Mary Ellen's. I buy it at my local fabric store/ quilt shop.
