Trucked over to our local Habitat Restore this morning and found this Ariens lawnmower in excellent condition minus the grass bag and needing a washing for only $80. Why couldn't I have found this last year when I needed a lawnmower!!! I looked at the Ariens dealer here in town and these things were hugely expensive and so I passed and got the much cheaper but still not cheap LawnBoy from HD which I'm happy with regardless, it's just that I could have saved myself about $400. Anyways my sister was mentioning wanting a lawnmower for the tight spots where they can't get in with the lawn tractor so I'll give it to her on the condition that it's a loan and her life will be in jeopardy if they mistreat it or sell it.
Do you figure this was a good deal? Not sure what they sell for in the US but here in Canada an Ariens self propelled model runs around $950-1100 and they're only available at Ariens dealers so pretty much only lawn care companies use them.
