OK, let's get this out of the way first: I do not use marijuana. I have no intention of growing it, possessing it, or selling it, nor do I endorse any of the above. The days of sparking one up are far, far behind me.

BUT HOLY FREAKING SHIT. Can you believe this appliance? A smart grow box. Bumped into a brief article about LEAF while looking around at reviewed.com.

Wow. Just....wow. It really is the 21st century, isn't it?

Yes,

it also isn't medically legal in N.J. yet either, and Christie said not on his watch. A family with a child who has a serious illness had to move to Colorado.
Yes, if I were a cancer patient, or had another illness that it would relive symptoms, I would use it.

Sorry to display my ignorance about this, but don't the plants grow taller than the box? You can only use the top with the bloom, right? Have they developed a dwarf plant to grow inside this box?

I learned that some brothers worked to remove the THC from their strain of plants so that only the beneficial canabinoids(SP?) are in their plants. That is what the young child with some horrible seizure disease was using on a news story I saw and, yes, her parents had to take her to Colorado. Maybe we saw the same story.

It's only "bad" because it was drilled into our heads that CERTAIN drugs are the devils fodder.

Is alcohol or nicotine bad?  Nope.  Apparently society could freely use those with no fear of negative consequences.    ..... and look what happened.

What about coffee, soda, and prescription drugs.  Oh heavens No.  Nothing bad has ever happened with those, right?

Now personally, I find the useage of any of the above products disgusting, though I have a wicked sweet tooth that has caught up with me proving that I'm not perfect.

Politically, NONE of the above should be illegal.  Our highly trained police agencies should not have to be wasting their time, cracking heads of morons doing drugs, so that the corrrupt for-profit prison INVESTORS have victims to make them money, usually at the tax payers expense.

Frankly, when driving, I would much rather deal with someone on the road who's stoned on mary-jane, than a douche-bag who's drunk.  The drunkys are much more likely to create accidents.

Another thing is the actual medicinal benefits of various plants and substances.   Consider that the pharmaceutical INVESTORS would like the public to fear anything that doesn't come in one of their bottles.  But of course, they don't count, so we ignore their propaganda and behind the scenes manipulations get exposed to out them.

What if Marriage-u-wanna is a lifesaver?  What if Apricot kernels do cure cancer?  What if Black Salve also cures cancer?  Same for drinking water with a teaspoon of baking soda?

If that stuff works, I WANT IT.

I KNOW that I've used baking soda to cure skin cancer.  I know that it works.

Big -Pharma INVESTORS and the southern republican prudes can go screw themselves.  They are on the radar.

This grow box is impressive and it's not surprising.  I'm amazed at the products I've found when looking for hydroponic lamps and exhaust fans for a solar project.

Here I was thinking

Nissan Leaf electric car, such as Frankie Bergstrom (Lily Tomlin) drives on "Grace and Frankie!"

As for Cannabis, I think it should BE legal!

I may be the only person of my age cohort who has never partaken. I did not know of edibles back in 1978-1982. My Mother was a serious cigarette smoker..1.5/2.5 packs a day then (she eventually quit!!!), but back then, I did not want anything resembling smoking around me.

Of course when I went to college.....I was around it constantly, but still did not waver.

You hear about all of these young people dying from heart attacks, teenagers. The upswing in these deaths are spiked during sports events and practice. It has been a common denominator in the medical field that what is found in these dear kids systems were Energy Drinks by products. Red Bull, Monster, etc. The news rarely delivers this information along with the deaths and I don't understand that. Or...I guess I do.

I also think that Cannabis should be legal. For recreational or medical reasons. Just look at the seizures that can be controlled from just the oil! Not to mention the many diseases that have been proven to be cured just from the oil. The big Pharmaceutical companies nor Doctors want this legal! Neither of them are in the business to fully heal but to make profits.

I live in WA, where recreational marijuana is partly legal. (I believe possession quantity is limited, and I think its still illegal to grow it.) As far as I can tell, the world didn't end because of this.

That election also saw voter approved marriage equality. There was a joke about that time that something like: "in the Bible, it says a man who lies with a man shall be stoned! We just didn't understand what that meant until this election!" (Note for these politically correct times: this is a joke. At all times, I fully support marriage equality, and I'd never suggest people in same sex marriages need to be taking drugs!)

I won't argue this next point, since this is not a politics subforum. But as an interesting historical note/commentary about the past...it's been suggested that the whole war on drugs was really about disenfranchising certain voters. A CNN link discussing this: http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/23/politics/john-ehrlichman-richard-nixon-drug-war-blacks-hippie/

My insomnia has me up, but let me say

I am thankful it is legal... Weed is what keeps this house going... my 21 year old roommate has severe adhd, anxiety, depression and other issues that drugs couldm treat but made him a very awful person.. THC and cannibnoids have brought his life around for the better...

I my self have fought many issues over the past few years and U of W has done several "Live" operations on my neck and main aterial systems.. I was fully awake, aware and knew what was going on.. Actually talked with the drs during the operation.. I was numb and couldn't feel any pain from either a block or something similar, bit i was awake... This was my choice as anastesia is deadly for me... I've almost died 2 times from it... Anyway, insted of using narcotics, i choose cannibis and herbal remedies for the pain and it worked far better and i healed far quicker.. My tremours have been controlled by a low dose 3x a week and it does help with controlling my severe rheumitoid arthritis.

It should be legal imho..I would not be who I am today with out it and i will continue to use it in a safe fashion.. I don't do it to get a thrill, I find the strains and the kinds that actually don't give you a brain high or euphoric high... Mine usualy just take the edge off and let my body regain normalcy for a while... A body high of sorts... CBD baised strains are the best and Indicas provide more body high than a Sativa which is like a mind high
