Leona Helmsley Dead at 85

I found this today, a vintage 60 Minutes interview with Leona and Harry. It takes place at her hotels and her Connecticut home. At least she had somewhat of a sense of humor. She went to jail a few months after this interview was completed.

Poor Leona

I miss her. I've stayed in some of Leona's fine bedrooms and they were.........wonderful, sorry guys, but you've got to be a bitch to run a ship as tightly as she did. Alexis was a bitch too. God, I love 'em.

To top it all off, she left her grandkids zilch, and a $12M trust fund to her dog (not that I wouldn't leave everything to my dog!!). But hell, if I had that for a grandmother, I probably wouldn't want to have anything to do with it anyway. What a loser......

If I were a judge and ever saw such a clause, I'd posthumously delcare her incompetent and stamp "null and void" across the whole document.

The kids will need the money just for the anticipated plastic-surgery knowing what their DNA pool degenerates into. And therapy; lots of psychotherapy.

Sadly she and the dog proably had the strongest love bond she knew.
