Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I use Lestoil occasionally to remove tough, greasy stains on laundry.  It definitely leaves its calling card in the finished laundry, though. Boy Howdy, that stuff is strong in the scent department!  Works well, though, I'll give it that.

Still Available

You can order Lestoil from Netgrocer.com. It's made now by Clorox and I just got some the other day.

I haven't used it for laundry but it does work for the rest of the house. The scent is still powerful but not too bad.

Speaking For Myself, & I Am Unanimous

Lestoil stinks only slightly less than PineSol, and that substance reminds me of cheap motels and horrid public bathrooms.

Cannot understand how anyone equates the scent of "pine" products with "fresh" and "outdoors". Well unless one is standing outdoors waiting to use a the rest room at a comfort station.

You want to get shot of grease, tar, and so forth? There is only one thing required. Fels Naptha Soap, of the vintage variety if possible. It has never failed me in the laundry room and housekeeping. Ink, grease, lipstick, crayon, etc, anything that requires solvent to remove. Bonus is that Fels has a nice clean "Naphta" scent; streets ahead of Lestiol or Pine-Sol IMHO.
