Let's have a hand mixer thread...

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

The white 70s GE variable speed mixer with the drink mixer was also offered in the GE-Universal gift line for one year in the early 70s in harvest. In addition to what comes with your mixer, this one also has a set of black nylon beaters for use in non-stick cookware. Of course, they also prevent scratching of other inner surfaces so I use them more than the metal beaters.

I have the turquoise GE mixer with the Thunderbird lines with the knife sharpener, but the sharpener is white.

Here's a few of Paul's

I have two of those General Electric Mixers. Both were MIB purchases.
The one on the left is the portable we use. The GE on the right is a spare.
The DORMEY is too cute to use. I love the wings it has.
I've seen ads for the GE mixers circa about 1958 and thereabouts. Considering the pleasing and functional design I bet it had a long production run.

Ooh, yay! The White GE is a bit earlier than I suspected. The turquoise one really is turquoise, but I admit I think it yellowed a bit over the years, and appears darker or more "green" than turquoise. In person it's less noticible, I think.

Beautiful mixers everyone!

Love the Hoover mixer, naturally. The Penncrest is super cool as well with the little stars on the front. Ugh, Paul - NIB is the best... That turquoise Dormy is dreamy! The pink Bosch is very cool - never seen anything like it. I've also never seen anything like the Iona. Very utilitarian... And yes, Hans does have everything!!

I found a chrome Sunbeam at an estate sale that was in the kitchen so it must have been used, yet it was stored in its box in the pantry so I have the mixer & box if not MIB.

Sandy, like the Lark comment. I can see it, too.

Dormeyer dominates chez nous...

I had to jump in on this one...

Here's the 1964 Dormeyer three-speed hand mixer that I use in the apartment in Montreal (with proof of use - Apricot upside-down cake and corn bread served for a small dinner party on Tuesday)

Since we moved to Ogden in '07, this turquoise 62 Dormeyer has been the daily driver. It was the first hand mixer I found in the dozens of boxes that contained the mixer collection... LOL
