Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Method is not the same as the Target brand. Method is a little company out of California (SFO area?) that Target distributes. Have seen the detergent show up in the laundromat, but it's the softener that I really like.

Yeah, Lever is a behemoth, but as far as laundry market share, no one holds a candle to P&G here in the States. I'll stick with my ALL...

All the American C-P products smell the same to me -- Fab, Dynamo, Ajax, liquid or powder, it all has the same basic scent. Same with Purex and Arm & Hammer.

I remember the smell of Punch very vividly and would love for that one to come back. Oxydol was another scent favorite, especially in hot water.

Would love to get a whiff of Punch, Oxydol, classic All (except the scent made me nauseous after a while), Dash, classic Cheer, Bold, and Fab.

BURST DETERGENT

Spiralactivator...you're correct! There was a detergent called "BURST." Colgate made that one in the late 60's to compete with P&G's "DASH." It was marketed as a "low-suds powerhouse." I don't think it was out very long. I did hear back in the '80's that it was still made for institutional use, though I'm not sure it still is or not. But have you noticed that Colgate's detergents haven't really been huge sellers? And PeterH770, you're right about Colgate's detergents in that they do seem to smell pretty much alike. I've always thought all their detergents have a "loud" smell!
