Hello everybody. I was also wondering what the insides of an lg dryer look like. What type of blower fan motor does this dryer use? My mom has a dle7177rm match to the washer. I Noticed that the normal cycle runs on medium heat. Why does it do this? I thought the normal cycle was supposed to be set to high. How many heater elements does this dryer have? How many turn on during the normal cycle? I'd like to know. Thank you. P.S. I believe Whirlpool and Maytag have the same normal cycle set to medium heat as a sidenote.

I guess the normal cycle uses medium heat for sturdy fabrics. Also, what type of blower fan motors do the lg's use? Could it be a squirrel cage? Please explain. How does the lg dryer achieve the medium heat on the normal cycle on the electric models?

and type in LG dryer motor and you will see pictures galore of the motor and blowers. One I saw says Made in China on it, another says Made in Korea. The blowers look just like my GE and mom's Maytag

If your LG dryer has an Antibacterial option, select it, this will give you Sensor dry with High heat. On mine I can't set the Dryness level at any selection other than Ex Dry when I use this cycle. I programmed this cycle so I just press the Custom Prog button, then Start, in way less than the projected dry time that shows when the cycle begins, the clothes are dry. I found this work around by accident, in the owners manual they don't even refer to the Antibactirial option.

My guess is that it has 2 heating elements. I could be wrong but I think it turns them both on and off during the medium heat temp. Please correct me. As a side note, I guess the normal cycle is a sturdy cotton cycle. In my opinion, I think the normal cycle is for drying sturdy items like work clothes.
