LG says Miele infringes washing patents

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

LG says Miele,

but not Whirlpool??, etc.??
A US patent has a ten year limit. Miele's market share in the US is rather small, and I doubt poses serious threat to LG's viability.
Of course, in Germany, LG must also present it's case to their magistrates.

Can't really imagine them getting verry far. Their steam wash systems are based on entirely different ways of steam introduction. Especially during washing.

I see where hey are coming from (PowerWash 2.0 and the pre-ironing).

If Miele would have any entaglement with some patents, I'd more say they'd get trouble with E-Lux.

But with both, Miele has substantial differences. While ELux only claims steam to help to reduce wrinkels, Miele also uses the hot drum surface.
And LG produces their steam in a seperate steam generator during washing, while Miele dosen't even mainly aims for steam gain. Further, Miele dramaticly reduces water levels during their steam wash phases, which LG dosen't do.
And on steam smoothing on Mieles higher end models; Miele uses 2 inlet ports if I understood them correctly. LG only one.

I think this is just this Samsung vs. LG shit again. Dirty fights for market share.
