I picked this up today in the scrap pile at Menard's for $29. It appears to function properly when I tested it in the garage. The control panel is in very good condition. I've never really been a fan of these types of washers and wanted to know what you think of these if you have one (before I schlep it down into the basement).

LG Top Loader

Well its not heavy, LOL

These are fun to play with and do some interesting things and are good for certain types of loads [ lots of smaller heavy items that are very dirty for example ] But not so great for large loads of dirty jeans, long sleeved dress shirts or large bedding etc.

If you have room for more than one washer you may like having this machine.

I have an LG Turbodrum. I like the sounds of it, but in my experience this type of washing machine is not very good at cleaning laundry. Mine has a soak feature that helps a bit. I am keeping it though, I have electric blankets/mattress pads, that my frontloader has problems with spinning them. My LG Turbodrum does it without any protest after the blankets got a soak in the bathtub.

had one-NWR

I had one of these, grabbed from the dump at 4 yrs of age, crapola $.49 washplate shaft seal had failed and ruined the bearings and shafts...Also there is a design error in that the washplate shaft splines are undersized and strip out.
