After a bearing failure and potential expensive repair of a Sears Kenmore front load washer (we find out made by Frigidaire in 1999) after 2 1/2 years of operation, we have decided not to fix the washer and buy an LG WM2377CF unit.Does anyone have any comments on this unit? Thanks!

If you are smart I would stay away from LG. I had several posts on repair or should I say lack of repair in my area. I got rid of my combo because it was to much of a hassel. Some people do like them but those are the ones that don't need service. I have spoke to many service centers and they have said LG is the worst to deal with. Right now I have nothing and that is easier to use public laundry in my complex. The newer Frigidaire is better or go with the Whirlpool duet not the sport. Whatever you decide good luck.

May I hijack for jsut a minute?

Peteski:

Since you have only 110v electrical service and no gas in the laundry closet-

I have learned to convert 220v dryers to 110v. (very easy and very safe.) If you choose to stack two machines in your closet, I will be happy to convert the dryer to 110v.

You could always run a vinyl hose to a window when using it.

OF al;l the drying cycles, IMHO electronic sensor-dry works best on 110v. Timed dry and auto-dry don't seem to do so well when the conversion takes place. (Not enough time on the timer for a timed cycle, and auto-dry does not seem to shut off).

If you feel so inclined, feel free to contact me!

When there is a will, there is a way!
