LG WM3600 water level can still easily be raised

The Youtube vids showing how to raise the water level on LG washers, all show prior models so I just wanted to assure owners of the 2022 models that nothing has changed.
The attached pictures were taken with an empty drum on speedwash both before and after adding one clockwise turn on the pressure switch. I see some people adding as many turns as they can, to me that defeats the purpose of how a front loader is supposed to wash clothes.
The third picture is just of the modelling knife used to chip away at the "loctite"
It's a substantial increase in water level, but still below the bottom of the glass which is where I wanted to keep it.
I would appreciate any opinions on whether this is too much, or too little of a change.

That looks like a vast improvement in the water level. I used to have a LG FL about 7 years ago and the water level in photo #2 is what I got, which is not enough water to properly wash clothes in my opinion. I would probably been much happier with it had I known that I could have raised the water level.

Also, that LG wasn’t good at finding a sweet spot and spinning properly with heavy towels and other heavy loads. Often times it just would NOT spin. I hope they’ve fixed that flaw.

Eddie, in my experience, they have fixed the heavy towel load balancing. My 10 sets of towels filled the drum totally when all pieces were in. By the time it finished doing the main wash and 4 rinses, it ony added a total of 6 minutes to the cycle by the time it had finished. Far better than the Duet did with this type of load.

I just put a "heavy duty" load in, and a pool of water is visible in the bottom of the drum, it was not before the mod. The water level is still well below the glass.
I think I like one turn of the screw.

Having played with the water level in one of my Duets I have  to say sometimes less is more.  When I added too much water there was little wash action. items just sloshed around.  Ended up backing it off almost to where it was to get the proper lift and drop that was needed to clean properly.

I totally agree with you...that looks like the perfect level.. Not too much but not too little.

I think people who adjust these - some of them go overboard...you really just need a little more.. Why they can't give you that in the first place is beyond me...even where you adjusted it, that's not like a swimming pool of water, but it's enough...I'm sure even rinses are higher..

I'm paranoid to try this though because of a horrible experience I had with my Duet YEARS ago... Maybe around 2007, there was this thing going around how to get more water in your Duet...I could never get it right..

Here's what would happen: I would turn the screw like a quarter, check the fill level, and it kept looking like "default" every time I would turn the screw a little... essentially nothing changed...until all of the sudden, after several small turns, it would from defalt to almost 1/2 up the glass... I could never find a happy medium... so I moved it back and haven't screwed with it sense... But again, this might be different than the whirlpool from 2005..

LG Water Level

I did raise the water level in my washer, but I could open the door at any point in the cycle and not have water spill out.
