Liebherr makes Miele...

Hay, went shopping for a new freezer for my grandma. When I was talking to the lady, who had from my point of view very good technical skills and impressed me by the knowledge of the appliances, told me that Miele fridges and freezers are build by liebherr. It's not the first time I hear about that, but is that true?

Btw bought a 60 cm wide upright freezer from whirlpool, hopefully it works great for the next 25 years.

Some are Liebherr and some are Bosch....

correct i had a miele fridge freezer and it got returned becouse it was damaged and the two replacements that got delivered was damaged! so i bought mine through chester mike and i got a liebherr cn 3666 which is the same as the miele apart from the name imbossed on the door and the control panal! ill post pics later. its funny a premium brand like miele there fridge freezer(£599) cost less then my liebherr(£619)

Miele, Liebherr, etc.

Some Miele refrigeration is Liebherr, most is B/S/H. As in: Bosch-Siemens-Haushalt.

Liebherr sources nearly all of their functional components from the same compressor and tubing manufacturers as B/S/H.

Here in Germany, Miele is regarded as the best for laundry and dishwashing, Liebherr as the best for refrigeration.

Kinda silly really, seeing as how all the functional components for effectively all German refrigeration equipment are made in Italy and nearly all are put together on the same assembly line, to the exact same quality standards in Gingen.

Liebherr and Linde still do some very limited original design and construction for the consumer trade. Nearly all their in-house engineering today is, however, commercial.
