That's right Tom, I forgot the 180 degree model was a 220 volt machine!
Here is the money shot. Dishwasher needed the hose to the upper spray replaced, a new uni-coupler as the old on was cracked. There is also a leak, I'm hoping its not coming from the pump shaft seal, not sure yet.

Robert and Fred - the vacuum and dishwasher are great. So much out there still to be found. I'm sure you will have that dishwasher running like new and of course that vacuum will clean up very easily.
Greg - Love the new wife. I would have grabbed that too! The stove is looking great as well.

Congrats Robert and Fred on you're excellent finds! Love the roto-rack dishwasher, had me fooled at first, I was with Bob on that one thinking it was a Westinghouse. I've been hunting for estate sales here in Halifax, can't find anything yet... Sweet find though!

Inside looks plain compared to the door
Good heavens! The pins in the lower rack are not all bent out of alignment and there is no rust. I'll bet it was used easy and then not at all after one of the spouses died or water was noticed on the floor. I had forgotten that old style detergent dispenser. It was so much better than that later plastic cup thing that flew open and threw the detergent all over things at the start of the wash fill and made spots on aluminum pieces. Would it have been more expensive to have it open at the same contact on the timer that shut the water valve for the wash fill or was that even possible? I'm sure what D&M did was cheapest. I wonder what the water comsumption is. Does the stainless steel half circle cover both detergent compartments? That could mean more than the usual 6 water changes, W,R,R,W,R,R like for a really heavy soil cycle with three washes. It's neat to see the permanent bridge between the two halves of the upper rack where it would fold in half in the top loading portables. Has anyone who used one of these ever put the silver basket across the front of the lower rack to allow use of the wide side space for skillets and such? I moved the silver basket in my Ultra Clean slightly toward the middle of the rack so that it has the first row of pins going through the first row of perforations in the bottom of it to create a slot for splatter shields, cooke sheets and such at the side of the rack out of the path of the upper wash arm if they are large enough to interfere with it.

Greg-- Your wife looks pretty happy considering it's obvious she's had her arm pinned behind that range for quite some time, LOL.
Robert-- Congrats on your Kenmore find! We had a '74 Lady K dishwasher with a Roto-Rack, and it was fun to play with. If you load the dishes just so, you can get that thing to whip around at an amazing speed. Ours rusted fairly quickly, and developed new tub leaks regularly.

Cool find Robert and Fred its amazing how rare these are now when you think how many were made. It was made even more rare because they changed the style almost every year. Yours is just one year older than the 1966 230 volt LKM BI model that Kevin found and sold me last year.
The portable was not made in the 180 degree 230 volt version for obvious reasons. Your model has the cool double detergent dispenser, the normal wash cycle should be R W R W R R. All the D & M detergent dispensers tended to suffer from the detergent washing out to soon, but at least it looks good in theory.

Oh, her hand. The poor dear is missing a hand, I suspect she was originally part of a larger display and that section is now missing. We can just make out the remains of some printing that was on the front in the yellow bubble that looks like an apron.
Though dressed and styled like the late 40's or early 50's, she is thrilled with the performance of her "new" KitchenAid dishwasher and has been baking all day and night! Sorry, Kelly but the next time you're here she said she's going to give a "proper" vacation!
