Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Man, that is one sexy, curvacious agitator. It almost looks like an overgrown old-school dishwasher impeller. It looks great in that SS solid tub. A beauty! Thanks for posting pics so quickly. We do love a sharp-looking washer around here...

That is the first example of a Hotpoint/Penncrest I have ever seen with a Stainless Steel tub and it looks great. I especially enjoy the sound those make when "throwing" out the water against the inner cabinet.

Is the sediment ejector system still in place or have you had to "neuter" it yet?

Very kool pair.

You know?
I just had a flashback and I remember seeing one of those machine with an similar control panel in the street 30 something years ago and I stuck my hand inside the tub to see what type of agitator it had and I cut my right hand because of a broken glass! I needed stitches but didn't go to the hospital because I couldn't tell mom how I've cut myself...... And If I see another one in the street I will snatch it up!

Hi Joseph, welcome to the club! Very cool Hotpoint made Penncrest washer! I knew hotpoint had made some stainless steel tubs for the TOL washers in the early 1960's but I would never have guess to see it on a MOL model from 1967. Wow that is just amazing.

That SS tub is incredible! Still nice & shiny too!

I know you mentioned this machine having the Hotpoint Co-Axial transmission...makes sense because if I remember correctly (reading the old Archives), the Positive Brake transmission on the Silhouette machines wasn't introduced until 1973.

Hi Joe,
Fabulous Pencrest/Hotpoint. Glad you are saving these AND using them too. I have a similar Hotpoint from about the same era, not hooked up at the moment but will be soon. Thanks for posting the pics of these. Jimmy

You're in for a wild ride

Never knew of the existence of another Spiralator. Amazing. Fins are a little less wide than those of an Easy, but the Easy does not have a 215 degree arc.

The strokes must be intense.

Welcome: I'm new too, since New Years.

Everyday is a treat. You'll have a ball.

Welcome new member........

Nice machines!
Do tell us and show us MORE!

Interesting to me too is that there is an outlet for an electrical dryer not three feet /one meter from a gas source.........

What's with the piping on the hot water heater? Is that a return loop going in under ht eburner port, and a circlator in the line to keep the water in the pipes hot at all times?
