Oh, to have been a fly on the wall at the meeting where the design team pitched this idea to Smeg. I'm going to trademark the term 'carppliance' straight away! Next up: The 1963 International Harvester pickup/dishwasher mash-up.

HA!

Had a 1972 Fiat 980 spider little rear engine job 30 years ago that turned into an OVEN-

I was at the Arco on Ventura Boulevard across from Universal City- in the rebuilt and always fussy Fiat, where I went inside to get a great big soda on a a hot day-

when I came back out I noticed the paint was bubbling up on the back cowl and when I lifted the hood, a six inch flame was shooting up from the carb.

Fortunately I had the huge soda right in my hand. and POOOSH! right into the carb!

The fire went out and I actually drove the car home.

The car was already pretty rare at the time and I would go to the Pick Your Part junkyards looking for parts- where I came across several of them that had burned up rear engine compartments-

well I guess.

PLEASE!!!!----I want my fridge to look like a FRIDGE-not a sawn in half Fiat!I want my toaster to be a TOASTER-not a toaster in a toy car!Can it be driven across the table or counter to "delivor" the bread without passing?that might be useful!

Yes, but it's much easier to get a car that looks like a fridge. I think there's a Chevy model I'm thinking of,
or maybe a Ford, but it's a big square SUV that looks like a fridge lying flat.

a Ford Norge?
Phil COLD!
