Well someone must have been looking over us this weekend as we made a small haul stopping at a few sales this weekend, some stuff was brand new and not even used, and some other things were not ment to be left behind, check out the vintage items in the photos, if I do this right.

A/Cs and electric knife

i've got a few GE carry cools too,a couple smaller ones-4900BTU IIRC,and a bigger
one 5800BTU made in 1981.I think carry cools were made up through 1991 or so,at
least 1990 as i have found one that late.I have a 1973 westy 6000BTU that looks a
lot like the one pictured-only just a bit newer,so 1969-70 probably about right
for that one.I have a sears branded electric knife identical to the one pictured,
mine with 1987 date.Nice scores!

Good Haul

Love that Kenmore iron and am sure you will as well.

Had a small GE "Carry Kool" for my first apartment out of college. Like a fool gave it to a friend upon moving into Manhattan after being told my new building didn't allow window air conditioners. Darn idiot gave it away to a family member so that was that.

Have some vintage Wisk in my stash as well. Stuff is *very* sudsy and not for front loaders, but otherwise cleans ok. Usually add some enzymes and or oxygen bleach products to kick things up a bit.

Judging by interest here and on fleaPay you could mark-up and sell on those vintage bottles of "Final Touch" and "Downy" fabric softeners for good money.

Did you by any chance make it to the sale in Saddle Brook?

WOW!!!

That's my Mother's iron...
I remember the red "steam" and the blue "temp" levers...
On the rare occasions I used it, the red and blue always stayed together...
I would suspect she did the same...
And when my parents updated their kitchen in the late 70's, they bought Quaker Maid cherry cabinets with a Chambers slide-in range, stainless with black glass...
And we had that same Hamilton Beach knife, but in green...
Thanks for the memories...

carry cool motors

dry, seized fan motor bearings is a common carry cool ailment-especially the older
ones that have GE motors(later carry cools have fasco motors)-might be good to
give the motor sleeve bearings a little oil before DD usage.
