I have 2 fairly old kitchen timers. One is the classic Lux timer that came from my grandmother's house, the other is a copper Mirro timer from my father's house. Both appear to have the same Robert Shaw workings/bell. One, the spring catch is broken -- turn the knob and it snaps right back to zero. The other, you turn it and it runs for a couple ticks then slows down and stops, but runs if you put pressure on the knob in the countdown direction.

Are these things fixable? Are they worth fixing?

same problem

Hey:
If any of you know about the couple of ticks and it stops problem..please let us know..I have a 1940 Roper Range that the timer ticks a few times then quits..I can tap it and it will tick as few more times then quite. Every now and then it will keep time almost perfect...I set it against the microwave time...they off within seconds of each other.
