I have 2 fairly old kitchen timers. One is the classic Lux timer that came from my grandmother's house, the other is a copper Mirro timer from my father's house. Both appear to have the same Robert Shaw workings/bell. One, the spring catch is broken -- turn the knob and it snaps right back to zero. The other, you turn it and it runs for a couple ticks then slows down and stops, but runs if you put pressure on the knob in the countdown direction.
Are these things fixable? Are they worth fixing?
