A neighbor called yesterday and asked whether we wanted a late 1950's/early 1960's Westinghouse wide stove.

Working.

Said yes.

He helped us pull it out of the basement where it had been stored since the 1970s.

Four working Corox burners, pans, rings!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The stove itself is BOL, just one indicator light, though 40" wide. Super wide oven, smaller pull out drawer, the height of the oven on the left (not a 'warmer') and full length drawer at the bottom. Polarized outlet with the extra hole for the griddle.

We're not keeping the stove, my sole interest was the Corox burners (did I mention all four work?!!!!!!!!!!!) for our 1953/4 Westinghouse Rainbow stove. She's been making do with a GE burner for 10 years now and a modern infinite switch. Don't tell me it can't be done. I done did it, but want to go back to the Corox (!!!!!) burners now that we have them.

So, after all of that - if anybody wants one of the pieces, apart from the burners, message me right quick. I'll pull it off and it's yours for the price of shipping.  We've got a belt drive Whirlpool Mark VII and a '61 Flair waiting for attention right now, and the space just isn't there for a BOL Westy.

OK, if someone really wants a Corox, they're going to write me anyway, so let me make it clear: Better have some serious $$$ behind the argument. I've been looking for 10 years for one, never mind four.

Pics of the stove if anybody wants, else I'll leave it at this.

Oh - build quality. Westinghouse did better porcelain back then than GE ever did. Definitely on a par with the best of Frigidaire. Everything else, first rate.

You can be sure, if it's Westinghouse.
