Make Every US Citizen a Millionaire....

I was thinking tonight about the "Bail - Out".
I can't find anywhere what the actual census of the US is now, but it can't be close to the "Bail - Out" price.
I was thinking if they made every US Citizen a millionaire, or just gave them $500 thousand. Would this not be the same type of "bail out" if not better? The money would still be in the economy after the pay off of mortgages and such.
And it would be so, so much cheaper!
I am not looking to attacked, but this actually came to me when I was in the shower tonight.
Am I making sense?

This has been discussed by some of the experts and they have stated more or less the same as you have. I think that no matter how you slice it, the bailout simply lined the pockets of those who are both wealthy and responsible for the meltdown. Congress may be telling us otherwise, but I'd wager the rich got richer in this scheme.

Imagine what could have been done with all the money spent on our illbegotten invasion of Iraq. Trillions. Those of us not employeed by Haliburton or Blackwater can only dream-------------.

That is what started my thoughts about this whole economic mess. Just thinking about all of the crazy money spent on the invasion or Iraq got my wheels thinking about this "bail - out".
I try to think about this mess as little as possible. Other times, it just takes my brain away for a few hours.

I had no idea this has been talked about before. I try my best to stay away from Television media these days. I think your theory is very correct.
I watched this documentary about the financial collapse of Argentina. It is scary to think that we could go down the same path. I will post a link if anyone is interested. It is about an hour long, but if you can stick with it, and put up with the subtitles, it is powerful.
