A couple of you asked me to put my 1961 Westinghouse stove into service, so last night I whipped up a couple of chocolate pumpkin pies. This is an easy recipe and gives a nice twist on the traditional favorite.

Kevin, this looks like an interesting variation. Do you serve yours chilled, like a traditional chocolate cream pie? Or maybe at room temperature?

Punkin Pie was never one of my faves but it looks like I might like this one.

Do you think doing it with the whisk attachments in a stand mixer on low would affect the outcome? It doesn't appear it would, just that I like to play with my mixers every once in awhile

Kevin

I was 2 minutes into your video and I had to say my eyes filled up with tears seeing you cook on the Range that I grew up with and started me cooking. OMG, I have to find a Westinghouse Range like that.

Now I will enjoy the rest of the show, and will make that recepe. Thanks Again for the Videos. You're a Master at Teaching !!! And can see You enjoy it. Eddie

Mike - pictures, pictures! Please let me know how it turns out and how you like it. I just served the two pies I baked Monday night (on the video) at a staff meeting and they loved it. Hope yours is well received!

Eddie - I hope they were tears of joy thinking about your old Westinghouse range!

Beautiful range, and the pies look absolutely delicious. I will have to make sometime. I love pumpkin pie and chocolate, so I'm sure I will love it.

substitute Milk chocolate chips or White chocolate chips

OMG that looks good, I wonder could you substitute milk or white chocolate chips ?

Kevin, I cannot thank you enough for this recipe. I made two and took them to work, became the hero of the day.

I'm cyber-inadequate, so no pics, but the thanks are heart-felt.

Keith
