Making Creamed Corn

We were visiting Chicago recently and enjoyed one of our favorite restaurants there - Lawry's The Prime Rib - which is a huge treat! While the prime rib there is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, the side dishes are also incredible. Among them was creamed corn and I think it was about the best I ever tasted. So we decided that we would try to recreate it for Thanksgiving - and I think we came pretty close!

I have found most of their recipes on line. Did you know the building used
to be the McCormick (of farm inplement fame) Home?

I love creamed corn, but corn and potatoes are pretty much off the menu of my restricted carb diabetic's diet. That certainly doesn't stop me from enjoying the videos! Love seeing the terraced range. Another great comfort food recipe from the Cavalcade.
