Did some alternative cleanup...

Coats of jasco to eat up the burnt on grease. Lots of water and steel toothbrush to eliminate the bulkier stuff. Dremel with steel brush wheel to really get the shite out and the shine ON!

Looks wonderful!!  I have three gunked-up waffle irons that need this treatment; the Twinover looks as if it was rarely, if ever, used. 

 

BTW, what is jasco?  I don't know the name.

Hey there!
I am working on restoring a Twin-o-matic. How did you end up re-seasoning your sparkly clean irons?
These irons are almost as clean as yours, and I'm not sure how to prep them for waffling. (I also used a Dremel tool.)
