Stuff happens ~
Paul, sorry I didn't respond when, if fact you were so on my mind, after a series of Classic Turquoisedude Moments.** In fact, the first few hours on Friday night created a total cluster-fudge.
1. Not yet in the iphone habit, so excited, and racing with adrenaline when Jackie showed up in a Penske Semi with a trailer attached toting a new red car hoisted atop, LTC Paul here to assist, Jackie's Dog Cucucachoo, a 14 year old Border Collie, I never even thought to take pix. Her yellow rig all lit up with the red car atop the trailer looked like a Great Lake vessel floating by.
2. The Suds Return would not work.
3. Mark flooded the kitchen 3 times.
4. Scratching an itch, I clicked the wrong side of the mouse and lost 45 miutes of edited work, a comic story to make up for the unshot photos. TWICE I did this. As my friend's old ethnic grandfather used to say, "Oh welllll ..... what da hell ya gunna do.?!

OOOH!! I was so glad to see the bleach and fabric softener dispensers were located and installed!!
You'd have to go a long way to beat me at my highly honed 'skills' at over-complicating things, though... LOL
I must email you about the shipper - I have something to get from the DC area to my freight drop in Vermont...

Look, I thought I was in a time loop, or a deja-vu experience, or simply seeing things, or that I had daydreamed and lost time.
The Mark 12 partial drained and filled FIVE OR SIX times--I lost count--testing the Wash 'N Wear Cycle. Greenly, I used the lowest water level.
I counted 3 partials and refills, and after the third refill, it agitated. I thought it was over and done, but lowering the lid I saw that we were only half way there!!!. Then it did 2 or 3 more drains, another agitation, and then, finally, a complete fast speed drain; all partials were done at low speed. Fascinating.
I'm sure I the EPA board at the White House lit up like a Christmas Tree, and a drone is in the way. I'll try it again, but not till the coast is clear. If you don't hear from me again....... Well, you know what happened.
Ya talk about a cooldown: looks like Mark wrote the book on that one.

Whirlpool, like Kenmore, had a few variations on the cool-down sequence. I believe an (earlier) version had multiple drains & refills with no agitation.

My sentiments exactly, but he stopped. I put a wider drain hose on his discharge port to channel his intense gush.
Glen, yes, thanks, I had heard of multiples, but never dreamed of SIX, with agitations after numbers 3 & 6. And if you select Super Wash 'N Wear, that's about five thousand gallons of water. Remember, I used LO water level. At some point, I'd like to get one of Jon's meters to find out the extent of Mark's gluttony.

Aghast at the 806 as an acolyte, watching what it did on Permanetn Press with Small water level selected--
1~ 45 second spin drain which on Small throws all nine gallons of water
2~ Instant refill, no pause, water shooting in before tub stops
3~Immediate drain, followed by another another refill
4~ Agitation--
so impressed by the spin drain and instant refill without pausing, BUT, the 806 does only half of what the Mark 12 does. They are so close, without any pausing the way other performers often do. Love the quick follow through, but there is no contest. Mark 12 doubles the performance of the 806 in the cool-down test.
Mark's control Panel is enormous: high, wide, imposing, a Titan.

At first, the Mayt (Mate) seemed incredible they way it threw all the suds water before adding cold on the PP, but then after downloading the 806 Ephemera, it was clear that the PP cycle requires Normal or Large on the level selector, in which case all of the water would not be thrown.
Alas, the doctrine was for an 806, alone, not an 806 S (suds). Got to wondering if the the Infinite Wash which happens after the suds was a timer malfunction, or a case of Mayt being so smart, since, should the timer did indeed proceed to Pre-wash, then all of the carefully saved suds water would be pumped away after only four minutes.
Maybe, I could find out from Roger; he has a Mayt, too. Any other Maytagarians out there know for sure?
