Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

The top oven is real weird, the door is in two pieces, you can open the shaded glass, which reveals a clear glass look at the oven. Move the shaded portion back, lock down on the handle, and the assembly opens completely.

Oooh, what I wouldn't give for that range!

Wizard (Western Auto) ranges of the mid '60s had the same "peek in" oven doors and sliding covers for the knobs, so now I know who made them.

Interestingly the floor appears to pull the (loud) colors in this room together!

Was that an oven or a broiler on top, or maybe both?

Veg, I might be making a trip to B-more.

Toggleswitch, I honestly don't remember if the top oven has a broiler. I assume so, but there was so much stuff at this estate sale, I was a little loopy. They had a nice Vulcan, sold for $75! But I didn't get it. Matt

G.E.M.

we belonged to a store before Costco and Sam's Club called G.E.M.(Government Employee's Merchandise) that had these AND Frigidaire's version of Poppy red on display in 1972.Ward's carried the matching sink and cabinets. i think Bob worth had the sink and cabinets in his Hollywood, Md. home.

these were just on a re run episode of lets make a deal..fantastic, the idiot traded them for ten ton can of JAy Tuna......

My mom had a Kenmore double oven, seems like all these double ovens had some cool feature. Hers had a shelf for the toaster and what not over the back burners and the entire cooked top rolled out when in use. Now that Im old enough to think about it I wander what kind of piping was involved in that and how safe it was (it was gas).
