I have not had these but a month or so and my maid is having a fit as she really liked my Bosch FL better. I am thinking about selliing these and they are in great shape! If interested you will need to arrange to have them picked up here in Scottsdale at my home!

Wha?

Might you consider a new maid? My housemate and I have an A806/DE806 set awaiting a new timer motor. In the mean time we are using an A206/DE306 set and really like them. They are thorough and FAST, especially compared to a front loader.

See why she doesn't like them. Perhaps there is a learning curve she hasn't quite gotten the hang of yet.

OOH...OOH...OOH....doesn't like a MAYTAG, LEAVE THIS HOUSE NOW!.....

I say we burn her at the STAKE, I haven't been to one of those in a long time......lol.....turn a negative into a positive...we could SELL weiners on a stick!....hate to see the fire go to waste...I'm all about saving energy....lol

we could roast marshmallows....sort of a wash-in with smoke signals....yeah, that's the ticket!

That restocking fee is a real Bitch...

Sounds like the maid needs to put up and shut up. I've never seen a customer change the appliances around and take a financial hit just because the hired help whines... I'll bet there are plenty of people willing to do the work WITHOUT bitching about the washer and dryer. Tell her she can always go use the laundromat...

Actually This Is Not Uncommon

Same situation as when a husband brings home an appliance thinking he is "helping" Madame, when in reality it is anything but.

She who uses it should get to pick it out, that is what I say!

Back to cleaners refusing to use this or that appliance, product or cleaning method:

Good housekeeping involves a system and methods that get one where they want to be. This is regardless of if one is the homeowner or hired help.

One famous case of a non-starter for laundry appliances would be ironers (often incorrectly called mangles). Many housewives received the things back in the day and found it was more trouble than it was worth, and went back to ironing things by hand. Even today am told many maids/housekeepers presented with a Miele ironer stun their employers by refusing to use the thing.

If the maid in question is from another country, and is not familar with toploading automatic washing machines, then one can understand her wishing to have the Bosch set returned.

Maybe she doesn't understand how to use them; does she need Maytag Laundry 101? I've already decided that when my Frigidaire front loader bites the big one, I'm getting another vintage top loader. Not going to spend thousands of dollars for something that will only last five or six years old, unless I can afford a Speed Queen front loader.

Another word Missy and YOU will be replaced by the silent mo

Having a fit?

The hired help thinks she is in charge? Perhaps in her own mind.

I say keep the washer and dryer, because it makes YOU happy. Her happiness and fufilling her desires is not your problem. It is HER job to make YOU happy.

And if you want your clothes washed in those machines how DARE she suggest otherwise.

I give up!

All right you guys have all convinced me to keep the Maytags. I wont sell them after all and she will just have to get used to them!

You guys are the best! We need to have a holiday get together!

... and my maid is having g a fit...

Christopher, I'm very pleased you decided to keep them!

I'd like to know "What the hell is her problem?". Is it that she has to turn a knob rather then push a button? Is it that it takes less time to do the wash? I'm really curious what her complaints are.
