MAYTAG 806

My 806 has starting leaking and appears to be coming from the center of the machine. I would appreciate some input on what could be the problem and the process of fixing it. Thanks in advance for the help !!!!

well, unfortunately it could be the main seal......there are many helpful threads on tearing one down and replacing that seal.....

are you sure its coming from the center?.....as in pulling the front panel off and observing where the water is coming from?......just making sure

I have the front panel off and am nearly sure that it's coming from the center but am going to check it again this weekend to make sure. The seal was my first thought also.

Yup. You need a stem seal transplant!
Change the spin bearing while you're at it.
