Help!
I have an old Maytag A207 washing machine. I think that there is something wrong with the timer, because although the machine fills up fine, I have to manually switch it through the cycles for it to work. I am very fond of this machine. She is a quirky old gal and I am really quite attached to her (I bought her used and have had her for twenty four years).
I have checked out the price of timers online and these are about 15o dollars. Is there any way I can get a generic timer which will work just as well? Also, is this a repair that a layperson can do easily?
Thanks for your help.
