It does not fill on cold, so I think the inlet valve is probably the right direction. I'll get it changed after it comes in and keep my fingers crossed.
Finally got over to my Moms to change the inlet valve. Installation was a breeze and I changed the hoses also(I had a spare set). Machine now runs like it did 25 years ago, more importantly, Mom is totally happy.
