Checked as much of the threads for the above, but didn't find anything that quite matched. We've got a Maytag A408 that up until a couple years ago, hadn't been used for nearly 20 years. What's happening right now is that the hot and hot/warm controls aren't working, though they were when we started using the machine again. Then they just suddenly stopped working. My husband thinks the wiring from the water temperature control panel is the issue. Would this just quit working after using it only a few times? What should we check first, second and third? ;-D Cold works just fine, happily. Thanks for the help!

After checking the filters for debris......

reassemble and then flip the wires from the hot side to the cold side to rule out that the valve is faulty or that your getting power to the valves...just flip the colored wires, the whites can stay where their at!

New Hoses

If you have changed the hoses, the new no leak, no flood hoses will not work on Maytag washers. Make sure you have plain old hoses with no flood control.

Not Specific

It doesn't change the point and since they are using a Maytag they likely won't care how it affects other machines.

I used them for a short time since I got a set for free and my 25 year old original hoses were starting to worry me a little. They worked fine, but it took FOREVER for the tub to fill. I also noticed that the spray rinse was weak. Got tired of long fill time and threw the old hoses back on.
