Our 24 year old Maytag model A412 developed a small squirt leak in the injector where it mated into the hose leading to the tub. Bought a complete replacement injector including hoses and keyed fitting into the tub. All seemed the same and fit well except the the plastic molded injector sleeve on the new assembly is a top mount and the old sleeve (that did not have raised sides on it like the new one) was a side mount. The water still squirts out of the new sleeve when I turn the water on to start a wash and a little when the rinse cycle starts too - anybody got any ideas? JohnH

Yeah, I did the same and it leaked. I couldn't figure out how to properly install the new injector without it spaying water everywhere, so I just bought the whole kit, 206680.

Two different sleeves...

The older style (5/16 screw goes in sideways) is 2-13057
The newer style (5/16 screw goes in from the top downwards) is 2-15447.

The little cup that was added to the part was to keep nuisance drippage from happening. The two parts are NOT compatable.

RCD Thanks - from one of the threads I found the "repair clinic" link and they had the side mount which was what it originally was - after I installed that it kept the whole sleeve part at the proper angle, slanted down to the back and that solved the water continually overflowing over the cup.
