Washer works fine until the rinse cycle(s) - then the water trickles in, not a steady stream like it's supposed to be - and trickles in for hours! Thought the timer was 'stalling' - changed it for a new one, but still seems to stall at the rinse part of the cycle. Checked the water valves and both work fine.
Help?!

water trickling in......is this only during "rinse"? as in cold water side only?....or during wash fill too, at warm or hot setting?

did you pull the hoses off and place them in a bucket and turn the water on?...

or put a bucket directly under the faucet and turned completely on?

is there good water pressure from those two sources?

you said you checked the valves, meaning you cleaned out the screens?

your next idea would to also check the hoses leading from the valve to the splash shield inlet!

let's get to the source of the "trickle" and not full force!

Welcome, and no offense, but how can you say the valves "work fine" if the cold valve "trickles for hours"?

The valve will have a sediment screen at its inlet and most hoses will too. Examine both.

Slow filling Washer

If the screens aren't clogged and you have good water flow from the hose when you detached it from the back of the washer as Martin suggested, you need a new inlet valve, PERIOD. This is a VERY common failure for any Washer or DW after many years use.
