Thanks, just watching the red tap doing a 360* is odd on a Maytag.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this Maytag washer
That slight amount of indexing is completely normal even for a new washer.
The slight indexing is protecting the clothing from excessive strain with a very heavy load, there’s no such thing as a weak brake spring they do not lose tension, the brake lining itself could be slightly warn, But as long as the tub comes to a complete stop in less than 10 seconds with a normal load it’s considered completely normal.
This is a good demonstration of how poor this agitator was when they put went to the orbital transmission, the load sensor agitator was a huge improvement.
