Hi - trying to change the snubber ring on my Maytag Atlantis MAV7600. Have watched the repair videos on youtube and from parts stores, have changed one on a different machine before.
Have removed three screws through the brake stator plate that holds down the snubber ring. Have replaced the other three screws with longer 10/24 screws. In theory (according to video) I should be able to life up the brake stator to pull out the snubber ring. But stator is locked down tight even with no screw pressure on it. Have tried to pry it up and everything. Looking for suggestions...
