Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

quick update....

thanks to Rogera608s/roger, he came over today and replaced the damper pads on my A608. and while the glue was drying on the washer, we went out to the sideyard to checkout the DE308.

when roger took the front panel off, there was spiderwebs, dust-bunnies, lint, wads of pet hair. he said that it didn't look too bad & said he's seen worse lint in other dryers. i'll tell you, we did give my eureka canister a good work out!!! we vacuumed all the areas we could reach from the front and from the back, he took off the little access panel down towards the bottom. and he also took off the back of the control panel and it got vacuumed out as much as we could there too.

roger says it looks to be in pretty good condition but that it's hard to tell, without having it plugged in and running to see what it sounded like. but he said from the outside, it looks to be in really good condition. and that the inside of the cabinet didn't look too bad. so, roger definitely made me feel hopeful about this dryer!!

:o)

the housing for the lint filter wasn't warped or cracked at all. part of the felt strip that sits at the bottom of the lint filter was starting to come out on one side. roger vacuumed the lint off of that felt strip and once it was lint-free, he pushed it back into the slot that it goes in.

so, the next step is to buy a power cord for this dryer and plug it up and see what happens.

sorry i didn't take any pictures guys :o(
but the whole time roger was here we were talking and roger was working & i was helping (or trying to).

so a big THANK YOU ROGER!!!!
i really appreciated you coming over and replacing the damper pads for me, opening up the dryer & vacuuming it out. i don't know how i would have managed without you.
thank you.....
