Did I over pay?

Not at all, you nearly stole those.

We would need more pictures to get a better idea of worth but most of us don't collect for monetary value or as an investment, it's the love of owning and using a high quality product that doesn't exist in todays market.

You'll love the dead on accuracy of that dryer (love my DE750 and other electronic control Halo of Heat dryers) if it's functioning properly...which it probably is.

“You’ll love the dead on accuracy of the dryer”

Hmm, my franken DE806 with the 408 auto dry timer is quite accurate as well, usually set it to less dryness, things come out a little damp, but is otherwise acceptable on less dryness.

Recently did a experiment with the older metal mesh lint screen vs the polyester mesh screen, things definitely seem to be dryness selected vs the older metal mesh screen, probably because the older metal mesh screen allows for more airflow which causes it to take awhile to get up to temperature vs the polyester mesh screen which filters more choking the airflow down causing it to get up to temperature faster advancing the timer whenever the heat gets up to 120F.

That's a great buy. Those machine machines look great.

I sure hope they're nearly as good as mechanical shape as they are in cosmetic shape. You may not have two great challenge on your hand if they are very low mileage

Love to see more pictures of the dryer with the back removed in the washer with the front off, etc..

Wow, those are in great shape

Given the age, they don't look like they were used all that hard and they definitely haven't been molested with half assed repairs.

The washing machine someone shove the drain hose back into the cabinet. You should be sure to pull that out before you try to use it it could hit the transmission when the transmission is spinning.

There may be some mineral buildup in the washer from cheap powder detergent. You can see the buildup inside the bleach dispenser reservoir.

The dryer even still has the crummy aluminum motor pulley on it , the pot metal aluminum motor pulleys were upgraded to a steel one because the aluminum war too fast and then the machine didn't tumble properly also slowed down the blower operation, but it's probably not that badly worn yet anyway I doubt if either one of these were ever serviced much.

If you upgrade your membership on this site, you can access all kinds of great posts about rebuilding and servicing both of these machines.
