Maytag DE808 Console Switch?

If I get a DE or DG 808 dryer in a color I don't want, can I switch the console from the 808 to a different model in a color I need? Like a step down or two from the 808. And if so, which models would work?

You're better off swapping the cabinet panels of the desired color you want to the 808 unit. Lower end 08 model dryers lacked several features of the higher end models, like dual thermostats, interior light, ect, so the wiring harness won't swap over correctly.
