Maytag demonstrations - 1928 style!

Here's an interesting article about a Maytag salesman in Iowa, and his sales demonstrations of wringer washers in 1928. It must have been hard work, lugging those Model 90s and 92s around, but fun doing the demos and convincing housewives they couldn't live any longer without a Maytag!

What an interesting time that must have been. Electricity in houses was still relatively new--at least in rural areas--and it brought with it so many exciting applications. Must have seemed like a brave new world.

in 1927, with the delivery of a Model 92 (gas engine). Can anybody identify the license plate?
