In a separate thread, I found bepetersxx's brief demo of a Maytag dishwasher (and I thank you very much for sharing), although he was pointing out a faucett coupler. It was the sound of that dishwasher that reminded me of the 1970s Maytag dishwasher we once had. The unit had the small round red light, just like the washers and dryers of that time. I would be very interested in collecting some more vids of similar Maytag dishwasher demos at least in a little more length.--Laundry Shark

Maytag wu600 dishwasher

I remember when I was in 6th grade I lived down the street from a girl who was the same age. We were friends in school. I went over to her house a couple of times and she had a Maytag dishwasher model WU600. I remember the full row of buttons. I do believe I was there on one occasion when the machine was operating and I was able to hear it. I remember I wanted to stay in the kitchen longer, but we had to leave.

Although I have always been a Hobart-made KitchenAid guy...I do love that retro-style Maytag dishwasher. I love that sharp "click" sound at each increment when the timer would advance. My mom's Maytag washer A606 did this too.

I don't have videos of these Maytag dishwashers, but I would also love to see any that someone would be able to share.
