Maytag dryer intermittent start Model MDG9606AWW

On CL, thinking of scooping it up, seller claims it "doesn't start" on occasion.(price reflects this). They claim when it does start, it runs great. I am assuming a Bad door switch, or start button. Any other venues I should be looking at?(other than a bad powercord.....)

Possible faulty timer. Timer contact YL to GY must be closed to power drive motor. Check drum lamp with door open to confirm good power cord.

Sounds like a bad motor to me. I would make sure to hear it run before buying

Looking at it tonight. Bad timer may or may not advance? From her description, I'm leaning towards a short or bad cord. no hesitation or funny noises when it does start, when it does not, there is no noise at all, just like it's unplugged(according to her), Light does not come on when it acts dead.
