Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

not new

not new but still better than some other diswahers on the market today. Without verifing from the serial# this model is from the mid or early 80's. 89' and 90 would be a porcalin tub direct drive (wc204 or wc284) they went plastic in 91' IIRC.

That's my model -WUC-284

c. 1990-1992 right before they changed everything.

Silverware in top rack with plates; cups and glasses in bottom rack. I love this machine--only gripe: does not heat water during cycles. Am still looking for MOL-TOL of same vintage.

I have the WU404 model

The manual indicates mine is a 91 model.
I just recently bought it to replace a 95 WP
plastic tub model. Once you understand how to
properly load one of these they are great.
I had to order the manual from Maytag but it
answered all my questions. Here is the first pic:

nice

nice pics glad your finally getting to like the dw..they are fun thats for sure, not to mention they really do wash well..so whats up with the giant clock and giant phone?? ha ha

That's the model I'm looking for; and/or it's big sister. Beautiful machine!!

The thing I love about mine is that after a big party you can load it with all of the leftover pots/pans/big crap and clean them with a little soap on the rinse/hold cycle--works almost like a professional quick-cycle machine.

You can also get an upper rack with fold-down tines. Look for them on ebay.

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments!

Chris, the big phone is not that big. It's an AT&T
Merlin (Vintage 1986) 22 button HFAI set. ha-ha!
It's part of a complete Merlin system wired into
the house.

The big clock is an IBM school clock typically found
in schools built in the 40's and 50's. I ran across
a collectors web site on these and it immediately
brought back memories of staring at this clock waiting
for school to be out. I found mine on ebay and wired
it to work as a stand alone. It is just one of many
of the clocks I collect both vintage and non-vintage.

The dishwasher is great. I found it on Craigslist and
have seen a couple more since buying this one. It also
has the interchangable panels which are white, black,
almond, and avocado.

...and i was gonna say.

MY what a huge classic clock you have.

HMMMMM two caller ID boxes,
a professional business phone,
a back-up cordless and
a huge clock.

DO WE CHARGE BY THE MINUTE?

(Ducks and runs to avoid torch-wielding mob).
*LOL*
