Maytag Euroline Washer

Hi folks, I've just pruchased a used Maytag MAF8805AES front loader. And it's Amazing. I love it!
It is in great condition and has replaced my old Aqualtis. The only snag is it didnt come with instructions. It seems fairly straight forward and i've already run a maintenance wash, but i just wondered if any one out there had an uploadable copy of the instructions? just so that i can get the most from the machine.
Any advice would be most gratefully accepted.

I'd suggest going to the ASKO website and having a look around there if you have no luck with Maytag....

In the UK and perhaps elsewhere such as in the EU.

Don't know why nor how this branding relationship came to be but there you are.

Know this because when looking for an Asko cold iron found them being sold in the UK under "Maytag".

This is essentially an Asko W6761. You can customize almost every single wash parameter with that machine. I had sold mine when I got my large Miele W4842. I still miss my Asko's amazing programming flexibility, but the Miele cleans as well or better.

Hi its also known as an AEG LAVAMAT 9000/90002.Im getting mine delivered this week.-bought 2nd hand too.Downloaded user guide from AEG uk or south africa Website.

They came out around 2000...

 

Earlier 2 dial ASEA Cyinda 12000 were almost as flexible - you could engage 'Quick wash' on any programme, including the designated 'quick wash' programme. Variable temperature selection up to set maximums. Engaging the gentle cycle would put more water in your wash component....and if you disengaged it, it would then return to the normal wash profile giving you a high water level....

Hi Alex, you picked a great washer there, shouldnt give you much trouble and parts available albeit pricy...these where first introduced in 2001, had my set coming up to 11 years now, these are well made sturdy machines, very flexible programming and with temps from cold thru to 95d, spin speeds from drip dry to 1600rpm in 200rpm increments...the dispenser is one of the simplest, smooth sided inside and out with flush jets that really clear every ounce of powder into the tub...It has a 30sec timed fill then auto load adjust, but I`ve been able to do about up to four timed fills before it trips the pump...

It's just short of impossible to keep track of what MANUFACTURER'S product sold under what BRAND and MODEL is actually any good. Seriously? A Maytag is an Asko is an AEG and also a Whirlmore and a Kenpool and a Roper and a Frigidaire and a GE and a Norge and a Candy and a Zanussi and a Hotpoint and a Thor and a Hoover and half a dozen others I'm not remembering right now?

I mean, you have to be a correlational engineer to know. And I AM one and I STILL can't keep track. Honest to gawd, if my '98 Frigiwhite quit tomorrow I think I'd just pour some Tide in the bathtub and swish it around.

Maytag UK

Where nothing more than an independant distributor years ago selling mainly refrigeration and large capacity top loaders, then deceided to build a UK company brand and presence....Refrigeration was Maytag USA, Laundry was from Asko, with Cooking from a couple of Euro manufacturers as well.....Then when Whirlpool took over Maytag USA they have now introduced the heavy duty Whirlpool Euro front loaders for laundry as well....

I know what you mean - who owns what, its a world domination thing, at least over here the Maytag brand has a premium presence and hasnt been downgraded ....

Sorry to bump an old thread... i've found one of these machines the seller says its all working fine but is a little noisy on the 1600 spin but think this may because its under the stairs and is open plan.

I'm thinking drum bearings may need replacing?

I've,had the Askos before and they all worked great! The washer plugged in to the dryer and only had one hose for cold water. it heated the wash water up to two hundred degreesF. The final spin was eighteen hundred rpms! It rinses seven times too. Fun to watch but,if you are washing your whites, be sure to wear your sunglasses! LOL.

The European versions would just plug directly into the wall, the washer wouldn't plug into the dryer.
I think that was a 'work around' for the US market to get 220-230V for the washer's heater via the dryer connection without having to do electrical work.

In Europe, all outlets are 230V.
