Guys! Got my first Maytag today. A LA710 in almond. But when I go to the Maytag parts site it says that's not my model #. Is there a different # I should be looking for?

I also would very much to see a scan of the owners manual and want advise on wether I should change the belts prior to use. It hasn't been used in a couple of years. Is it hard to do?
Thanks! Greg

One step down from TOL (810). This baby is an early 80's machine so it should be in the imperial forum with its brothers and sisters.

Whirlpool probably considers a 26-29 year old machine as "ancient" and probably didn't bother to list it.

"and want advise on whether I should change the belts prior to use. It hasn't been used in a couple of years. Is it hard to do?"

There isn't a machine out there that's easier to replace belts on. If possible, post of pic of the belts and we'll give you our opinion. It can't hurt to replace them though.

The model number's good but...

The 'L' in the model number specifies almond color. Try using the model 'A710' with out the 'L'. Some sites are kinda stupid like that...
